1. The principle and process of high-frequency welding


The high-frequency welding process is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, as well as the skin effect, eddy heat flow effect and proximity effect of AC charge in the conductor. Due to these advantages of high-frequency welding, high-frequency welded pipes are widely used in the production of steel pipes.

 

3. Application and process of high-frequency welding


The high-frequency welding of steel pipes uses the skin effect and proximity effect of AC. After rolling, the steel forms a circular tube blank with a broken cross section. One or a group of resistors rotate near the center of the induction coil inside the tube, and an electromagnetic induction loop is formed between the resistor and the tube opening. Under the action of skin effect and proximity effect, a strong and concentrated thermal effect is generated at the edge of the tube opening, which quickly heats the weld edge to the required welding temperature. After being squeezed by the rollers, the molten metal achieves intercrystalline bonding and forms a firm butt weld after cooling.
